Southeast Asian interdisciplinary Research Journal (SEAIRJ) Publication: The Progressive Years

For the last several years, the Brokenshire College-Research and Publication Office (BC-RPO) has aimed a journal publication that could daze knowledge-earners. From a simple aspiration that became a goal with a purpose, and with the pursuance of striving people, the journal – Southeast Asian Interdisciplinary Research Journal (SEAIRJ), has been released its inaugural issue last February 2013.

The inaugural issue has been crafted dutifully by the former Research and Publication staff, Ms. Raulyn C. Fuentes, with the supervision of Dr. Felix C. Chavez, Jr., who by then and currently the RPO Director.

Set of Editorial Board was also formed in the persons of Rev. Melanio Aoanan – who also served as the Editor-in-chief, Mr. Henry C. Encabo, Dr. Aime T. Guarino – as the external EdB member, and Dr. Felix C. Chavez, Jr.; while Dr. Ramil Cubelo, Ms. Marcia Fuentes, and Ms. Raulyn C. Fuentes were the Editorial Staff members.

Twelve research articles from the members of BC faculty and staff, including the works of those who make the journal publication possible, have been incorporated to the inaugural issue. It has been, indeed, another pride for the College to christen its first international peer-reviewed journal.

It is the protocol and the practice of RPO to undergo all research entries to an international double-blind peer review process, various screenings, and required revision prior its publication. The publication of SEAIRJ is also available online and its research articles are indexed in google scholar so it can be utilized by other researchers and readers.

On December of the same year, the BC-RPO has once again tasted the fruit of its academic labor through the release of volume 1 number 2 of SEAIRJ with nine enclosed research articles. Four of the published studies are the works of the members of BC faculty and Program Deans.

The journal publication of BC-RPO is also open to all researchers who are willing to publish their articles with a corresponding publication fee. Covered in the publication fee are the formatting of the paper into a publishable article, the peer-reviewing process, and a printout copy of the journal.

SEAIRJ volume 2 number 1 has then published in 2014 of November, and nine articles have been adopted in this issue. Only one article from BC faculty is entailed on this copy which is the output of the newly-welcomed Editor-in-Chief of SEAIRJ – Dr. Elizabeth M. Malonzo.

A diminutive change to the set of Editorial Board of the journal has also made in its third release. Mr. Henry C. Encabo, Dr. Felix C. Chavez, Jr., and Dr. Saket Jeswani have been declared as the new set of EdB members. Dr. Saket Jeswani is once then a diligent peer reviewer of SEAIRJ who has agreed to the invitation to become one of the members of EdB.

The second and third releases of the journal have been arranged by the new Publication Staff – Rebecca C. Espera, with the leadership of the RPO Director. In a continuous basis, the BC-RPO will always on the move for another publication to contribute successive studies in the research community.
